The outline below sets out the services provided. These services are provided by way of referral and arrangement only and all expenses incurred are to be borne by the Insured Person.
Chubb Assistance will provide information concerning visa and inoculation requirements for foreign countries while the member is in Hong Kong SAR or travelling outside Hong Kong SAR.
Chubb Assistance will provide the address, telephone number and hours of opening of the nearest appropriate consulate and embassy worldwide while travelling outside Hong Kong SAR.
Chubb Assistance will provide the address, telephone number and hours of opening of interpreters worldwide while travelling outside Hong Kong SAR.
Chubb Assistance will assist the Insured Person if they lose their luggage while travelling outside Hong Kong SAR by contacting the appropriate authorities involved and providing directions for recovery.
Chubb Assistance will assist the Insured Person if they lose their passport while travelling outside Hong Kong SAR by contacting the appropriate authorities and providing directions for recovery.
Chubb Assistance will assist the Insured Person to arrange doctor appointments while travelling outside Hong Kong SAR.
Chubb Assistance will assist the Insured Person with arrangements for hospital admission if the medical condition of the Insured Person is of such gravity as to require hospitalization while travelling outside Hong Kong SAR.
Chubb Assistance will arrange for the provision of medical advice to the Insured Persons over the telephone while travelling outside Hong Kong SAR.
Chubb Assistance will provide the Insured Person with information about physicians, hospitals, clinics, dentists and dental clinics worldwide while travelling outside Hong Kong SAR.
Chubb Assistance will remain in contact with the hospital to monitor the Insured Person’s medical condition during hospitalization while travelling outside Hong Kong SAR.
During the Period of Insurance, if an Insured Person sustains Bodily Injury or Sickness in the course of a Journey and the Insured Person is admitted and Confined in an Appointed Hospital in China as a Resident In-patient under the professional care of a Physician and incurs Medical Expenses during his/her Hospital Confinement, Chubb Assistance will, on behalf of Chubb, guarantee to the Appointed Hospital the amount of admission deposit upon the presentation of the Chubb Assistance - eChina Emergency Card by the Insured Person.
The Insured Person is not allowed to give the Chubb Assistance - eChina Emergency Card to any person who is not a named Insured Person under this Policy.
Chubb Assistance shall endeavor on a best effort basis to provide the required assistance and intervention services. Provision of the services is subject to local and/or international resource availability and the applicable national and international law and regulations. Intervention may depend on Chubb Assistance being able to attain the necessary authorizations issued by the various authorities concerned, which is outside of the control or influence of Chubb Assistance.
Chubb Assistance is not a subsidiary or an affiliate of Chubb and Chubb will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by or relating to this service or any act or omission of Chubb Assistance.
